iQ Student Accommodation is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of student residences. The role focuses on carrying out basic repairs, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring accommodation facilities remain safe and operational.

Working Hours:
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend call-outs depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks
Respond to maintenance requests from residents
Assist with routine inspections of building systems
Support contractors during larger maintenance work
Maintain maintenance logs and reports
Software / Tools:

Maintenance ticketing systems
Basic repair tools and equipment
Microsoft Office for documentation
Technical Skills:

Basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair knowledge
Building maintenance procedures
Soft Skills:

Problem solving
Communication with residents
Time management
Attention to safety procedures
Education:

Diploma or vocational training in building maintenance or related trade preferred.
