Octopus Energy is recruiting Smart Meter Engineers to support the nationwide rollout of smart energy meters and renewable energy solutions across the UK. This is a field-based role covering Bristol and surrounding South West areas.

Role Overview
As a Smart Meter Engineer, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot smart electricity and gas meters in residential and small business properties while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
• Install and configure SMETS2 smart meters
• Perform safety checks and risk assessments
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Educate customers on energy usage and smart meter functionality
• Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations
• Maintain accurate digital job records
• Promote Octopus Energy’s renewable initiatives

Regulatory & Compliance
• Must hold relevant Metering Qualifications (e.g., CMA1 & MET1 or equivalent)
• Valid UK driving licence required
• Compliance with energy safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in dual fuel meter installation
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
