BAE Systems is offering a 12-month Procurement & Commercial Internship at our Barrow-in-Furness site, supporting major defence programmes including submarine construction and advanced maritime systems.

Role Overview
As a Procurement & Commercial Intern, you will support supplier management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations within complex defence supply chains.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in managing supplier relationships and performance
• Support preparation of commercial contracts and amendments
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking activities
• Track procurement milestones and delivery schedules
• Support risk assessments across supply chain operations
• Prepare reports for senior procurement managers
• Participate in supplier meetings and performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with defence procurement standards

Tools & Systems
• SAP procurement systems
• Excel (advanced analysis)
• Contract management platforms
• Supply chain performance dashboards

Eligibility
• Enrolled in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related programme
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
