JCB is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join our Product Development team at our global headquarters in Rocester. This on-site role focuses on the design and development of heavy construction machinery components and systems.

Role Overview
You will contribute to the design, testing, and improvement of earthmoving and construction equipment, ensuring high performance, durability, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Design mechanical components using 3D CAD software
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications
• Conduct stress and fatigue analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
• Support prototype builds and testing programmes
• Investigate and resolve engineering issues
• Contribute to product innovation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Tools & Technologies
• Siemens NX / SolidWorks
• FEA analysis tools
• PLM systems
• Engineering simulation software

Required Qualifications
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or heavy equipment industry
• Strong knowledge of materials and structural mechanics
• Ability to interpret technical standards
