Job Description –
Mitie is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in facilities maintenance and building services. This role provides practical on-site experience while completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Apprentices will work with experienced technicians maintaining commercial facilities and supporting preventative maintenance programmes.

Working Hours:
Full-time apprenticeship position up to 37.5 hours per week including training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with building maintenance tasks
Support electrical, plumbing and HVAC inspections
Carry out basic repairs and preventative maintenance
Record maintenance activities and service logs
Assist with contractor coordination and safety checks
Follow health and safety guidelines on-site
Software / Tools:

CAFM systems (Computer-Aided Facilities Management)
Microsoft Outlook and Teams
Maintenance tracking software
Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of building systems (training provided)
Ability to use hand tools and maintenance equipment
Soft Skills:

Strong work ethic
Communication and teamwork
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Education:

GCSEs including Maths and English preferred.
Certifications (provided during apprenticeship):

Level 3 Facilities Management or Building Services qualification.
