Barratt Developments is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of high-quality residential housing projects in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time, on-site role within one of the UK’s leading housebuilding organisations.
Role Overview
You will assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor build progress against project timelines
• Ensure adherence to NHBC standards
• Conduct quality inspections of construction work
• Enforce health & safety regulations
• Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
• Support site documentation and reporting
• Assist with client handovers and snagging processes
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
• Maintain site safety audits and toolbox talks
• Monitor risk assessments and method statements
Required Qualifications
• Experience in residential construction
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong leadership and communication skills
Tools & Systems
• Construction project management software
• Site reporting systems
• Health & Safety compliance platforms
