Role Overview
As an Engineering Apprentice, you will support the maintenance, inspection, and repair of aircraft systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist licensed aircraft engineers during scheduled maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections of aircraft components
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
• Maintain maintenance documentation and compliance records
• Learn and apply aviation safety procedures
• Participate in workshop-based technical training
• Adhere to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations
• Support aircraft turnaround activities
Training & Qualification
• Enrolment in recognised aerospace engineering apprenticeship programme
• Classroom-based technical study combined with practical training
• Progression toward Aircraft Maintenance License (AML pathway)
Eligibility
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Strong interest in aviation engineering
• Ability to work shifts
• Must pass aviation medical and security clearance
• Eligible to work in the UK
Compliance & Safety
• Strict adherence to CAA and EASA regulations
• Completion of aviation safety training
• Airside security clearance required
